Prior to joining the Noise Doctors full-time, Brian headed up the Portland location of YouGov America, a UK-based top 25 market research company that acquired Definitive Insights, a market research and analytics company Brian co-founded. Before that, Brian was a Senior Partner at Momentum Market Intelligence, a Portland market research company, where he headed up one of the technology-focused teams. Prior to that, Brian headed up the Research & Analytics group at Harte-Hanks Market Intelligence in San Diego. There he led a team who conducted custom analytics and primary research for many of the largest IT and communications companies in the world.
Before moving to the West Coast, Brian worked for a start-up company in Boston called DiscoverWhy where he helped launch a new software application for conducting research over the Internet using streaming video. He also worked as a statistical consultant for SPSS out of their Boston training facility, where he provided statistical and methodological consulting to clients in a wide array of industries.
Brian started his career working in academia in the Boston area, where he taught classes in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and published articles in several leading academic journals. Brian earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Tufts University, and his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
Kim has been working for The Noise Doctors since its inception in 2004, applying her 30 plus years of experience, conducting both qualitative and quantitative research for a variety of clientele to deliver business insights for clients across a variety of verticals. Prior to working at The Noise Doctors, Kim was a statistical trainer for IBM/SPSS, a top statistical software company, providing both operational and conceptual statistical instruction. Kim did her undergraduate work at the University of California, Irvine, and has a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Tufts University.
